DFL is a hazy American Pale Ale from Docker Brewery, a brewery based in Hythe, whose name playfully references the “Down From London” crowd familiar to Margate. Simcoe in the whirlpool lays the foundation for a vibrant hop character, while Amarillo, UK Cascade, and Simcoe in the dry hop bring layers of bright citrus and classic West Coast influence. Aromas of grapefruit and zesty citrus lead the way, backed by a subtle dank edge that carries through onto the palate. Soft and hazy in texture, it balances juicy fruit flavours with gentle bitterness, finishing crisp, refreshing, and highly drinkable.
